I posted a claim to Discovery Insure Seven days ago advising damage to my television, decoder and PVR due to a lightning strike.
So far it has taken seven days for Discovery to finally figure out that the appliances are damaged and/or require replacement.
As no date seems forthcoming as to when I will receive the replacement goods nor I am in limbo having to follow up constantly with the call centre and the "outside parties" supposedly replacing and fixing the items as I now look forward to another weekend and another three days without my appliances.
As Santam guarantees replacement within three days, I would best advise anyone with home insurance to look somewhere other than discovery.
