Discovery Insure sent an electrician to my home who was incompetent. He blew 9 appliances on Friday 10 January 2014. It took 6 hours for Discovery to send out a second electrician. I immediately put in a claim for the appliances on that same Friday. Starplex came out on Saturday morning to collect the appliances (fantastic service from them!). From there it went downhill, I then had to phone and email Discovery repeatedly to get traction on the claim. I had to ask for a new claims consultant. I have sent emails that do not receive a response. I am promised feedback phonecalls that do not happen. I have been to. And finally I must now wait till next week for the claim to be processed before I can get my appliances. The attitude has been shocking and I have not received exceptional service. Considering the fact that a Discovery Insure service provider damaged my appliances, I don't expect to have to follow up with Discovery at all. I have been extremely patient, but am now at my wits end. The fact that I have to wait till next week to replace things that were damaged is unacceptable.
