4 weeks ago today we woke up at 5 in the morning with a burst geyser. I phoned the insurance company immediately. The first 2 "plumbers" just didn't come out a 3rd came out around 12 to the problem and a 4th eventually came to replace the geyser at 4, almost 12 hours after I phoned the first time.
About a week later the same company came out to replace the ceiling and repaint. (At a cost I am almost sure can be triple the price you would by at other places) which means a whole chunk of R10 000 limit on my cover was gone.
I was told by the insurance company that the same people would also the damage to my laminated floors. I was then told afterwards that they do not specialize in laminated flooring and that they will let the insurance company know that someone else needs to be sent out.
A couple of days went past and no body contacted me so I phoned the insurance company again and they then sent someone else out to do the assessment. This person came and went, and nothing has yet been done to fix my floors.
