3rd party to contact us about Comprehensive cove

Hi,
It all started with a phone call from a 3rd party (Hollard) phoning me about my comprehensive cover for my car at WesBank.
1. There was no communication from WesBank about this 3rd party that will be phoning me.
2. I then emailed WesBank to confirm this is true. They replied with a long email trying to reason how they can get a 3rd party to phone me and I should email them proof of insurance.
3. I then emailed proof from my insurance broker which emailed me the proof in Word format. The agent told me I should email in pdf format. Really pdf format.
Saying that you need a pdf or fax will give you 0% security on proof, that it came from my insurance broker. It is easy to generated my own document and fax it or pdf it to them.
They should do you work and phone the insurance company if the information is correct as you have the policy number.
This is just bad communication.
Everyone should understand you are not allowed to get 3rd parties to ask me for anything without notice or approval. Sharing customer details to anyone is not allowed and trying to hide by making the 3rd party a division of your company, don't give you permission to share my details with them.
