My father passed away two weeks ago and they froze the business accounts. My mother applied for new accounts and we still haven't heard anything. They are also refusing to open an account without proof of income and are downgrading the accounts and refusing to open a cheque account. My parents have been with ABSA for more than two decades and my mother is being treated like a criminal. Their service is slow and they could care less about their clients. The business account and invoices needs to be sent out but we have no account. So the business is drowning because of this terrible service. I have advised my mother to take their large property business to FNB and will advise all our business contacts to do the same. It is safer to store your money under your bed at home than to trust these people with your livelihood.
