FNB are really dropping the ball. This has to be the best bank I have been with for the last 25 yrs as a business person and this is my second complaint in a month. I called the call center and got through to the wrong department. They then transferred me to business banking. I had a simple question - Do both partners need to have proof of residence to open a new account? She emphatically said no. Just one of you. So I fetch my partner and pitch up at FNB Sandton only to be told that we both need a proof of residence.
This may seem a small oversight, however in the context of my life it is not. Driving from Edenvale to Katherine Street to fetch my partner (he had to leave the business), drive to FNB and and back again and back to Edenvale. Now I need to go back to the bank. Running 3 other companies makes my time very valuable.
