Refusing to pay out claim

We bought a second-hand Ford Supercab in April 2008, we were told by our Vehicle Financing that we had to take out extra insurance on the mechanical / engine of the bakkie - Motorite to be exact.
When we had problems with the wheel bearing of the front right wheel which caused major damage to the differential Motorite refused to pay out.
To try and solve this issue we reported to the Short Term Ombudsman - all was in order until the agent / consultant resigned and the documentation was given to a new consultant. Some of the paperwork went missing. My computer had also crashed in this time and I lost a few months emails. The Ombudsman closed the file due to lack of response from myself. Although the information the needed was attached to the very first report sent to them.
We tried getting help from Die Burgers Kampvegter but even after managing to contact them we have never had a response from them.
How do we solve this issue as Motorite still owes us a substantial amount of money?
