Don't trust FNB online banking

I transferred funds to another FNB client's account yesterday, and the transfer should have been instantaneous. The money was never deposited into the recipient's bank account, even though the money was debited from my account. At first I was told that it could take up to 24 hours for the money to clear (first time I hear about this). Then I was told it would take exactly 24 hours for the money to clear. Then I was told that one of their agents would contact me shortly. Then I was told that the money has to be released by one of their "technical staff", and it will take up to two hours.

I ended up insisting that they reverse the transaction. I will lose out on a deal that I was in search of for months and months, and I ended up losing time and money, and I inconvenienced quite a few people in the process.

Thank you FNB, and please drop the slogan "How can we help you? ".
