I am a FNB PLATINUM CHEQUE ACCOUNT holder and was attracted to the deals offered to the holders of the same account as me - the FNB SMART DEVICES. When I still had my GOLD CHEQUE ACCOUNT I tried applying through FNB for a smart device which would have cost no more than a mere R500 a month. Low and behold I was declined due to credit criteria not met. Fine. FNB recently upgraded me to a PLATINUM CHEQUE ACCOUNT and I thought I stood a greater chance of getting that same device uder R500 per month. You guessed it, I was declined yet again. I downloaded my Credit Score via the ITC website which states I am clear. Why would my account be upgraded and I still can not get a device???
So anyway, I applied for a contract through FNB in partnership with Cell C. I was contacted by FNB and was congratulated upon approval. I took the S4 for R449 p/month. I then got a email from Cell C giving me a reference number, detail orders, as well as tracking details and my delivery address is on with delivery instructions. A day later Cell C calls and says I can't afford that and says I must choose a phone under R200 p/month.
This is ridiculous service and I hope to have it clarified soon!!!
