It's really ironic that this company is currently on a huge marketing drive with billboards and radio ads announcing how great they are. They also "pride" themselves in doing ONLY home loans, unlike the traditional 4 banks that do other things as well.
Anyway I submitted a homeloan app for a client in October, and before doing so I checked with their consultant, Moses Hlati, if they finance the area. To cut a long story short, he confirmed that they did, and I eventually received an approval in principal (AIP). A day later they declined the app saying they don't finance the area. To say that i was/am angry about this would be an understatement.
After sending a complaint email to them, I got an automated response telling me they'd get back to me in 24 hrs, which never happened! I then called their Durban H/O, and a lady called Nomfundo Sibiya assured me that the East Rand branch manager would get back to me by last Friday... I'm still waiting.
I think I've done enough on my side to try and resolve this matter through the right channels, but clearly they aren't interested and maybe hope I'll just disappear!
I just want the public to know the other side of the story!
