Interest on settlement

I took out a building loan for R10000.00 through Build It with real people for 24 months with a premium of R727.87.

After 7 months of paying my premiums and paying a lumpsum of R5000 i wanted to settle my account on their statement they quoted an amount R1805.88 which was outstanding but on their settlement letter they quoted an amount of R1969.10 that i had to pay.
when i asked why am i being charged interest when settling i did not get a clear answer instead i was told i was being given a huge discount.
