I was involved in a car accident on the 20/10/2013. I had changed my front tires 2 months previously and the left front tire burst on the highway on a sunday morning on my way to church. my car lost control and then a taxi hit me on the drivers side. Now my car has been written off. Despite the fact that the accident clearly happened because the new front tire burst, and the car is beyond repair because a taxi hit me head on when the car came to a stop, the Auto & General Car insurance keeps looking for reasons not to pay the claim. They claim that one of my back tire was not in great condition and may have caused my front tire to burst- how is this possible if my front tires were brand new. Secondly, the tire expert they got to check my back tire was not even an independent assessor. Now they are saying my windscreen wiper doesn't seem to have been in good condition. I really don't know what to do, I have sort legal advise and am waiting for their final decision but please could someone advise me on how to handle this matter. I have paid this insurance for 4 years and this my first claim. Please could someone advise me as now I have no car and they don't seem to want to pay out
