Just like any graduate looking to enter the working world I saw an ABSA Pan Africa graduate programme on our UCT career website and decided to apply.
Everything went well with my online interviews and I even got a phone call from them for an invite to the JHB assesment center. I quickly informed Masindi that I live in Cape Town and would not make it to JHB. A few weeks later I got an email from Masindi inviting me to the Bloem assesment center, I replied with the same previous response to rather get a Cape Town invite. Nobody responded, 3 weeks later I called head office and spoke to Masindi who said they had already been to Cape Town 4 times! Yet nobody bothered to inform me now that they were in my region. Masindi since then said he would look into the matter and get back to me... till today there has been absolutely no response or any form of contact from their side. I have called numerous times/emailed and left voice messages but nobody bothers to respond.
I understand people get busy but this type of recruitment service is undesirable and unexcussable. It takes 10mins at the most to respond to an email.
