Defective IPAD received from FNB

I received my FNB Ipad yesterday and when I turned it on, on the screen appeared a white line from top to bottom, that stays there. I phoned FNB, who asked me to phone their agents who delivered the Ipad. The agents, Digital Planet informed me that I would have to wait another 6 working days for the Ipad to be replaced, or alternatively, if the Ipad can be REPAIRED I have to wait another 10 to 14 working days! That is up to 3 weeks! This is not my problem and therefore why should I have to wait for it for this long OR receive a device that has been repaired after I havent even had the chance to use it? I am very upset about this and do not think that I should be inconvenienced as a result of a fault on their side.
