After receiving my FNB Private Clients Cheque Account statement - I was horrified to discover the numerous charges for "perks".
I travel a lot and have been charged on each and every occasion for use of the SLOW lounge. When I signed up, this was offered as a perk. The Private Banking call center had the audacity to tell me that it's because I have not maintained a min. balance of R33k (something that was never ever explained to me at sign up).
Further, IF the bank saw it fit to charge me - why does the lounge not inform me of such charges ..?
When I have taken guests (i'm allowed one guest) - I simply go through. To later be shocked with a charge (when no choice based on cost was offered) is a MISREPRESENTATION and is!!! Kindly reimburse me immediately and I will immediately take steps to close down this account.
