ABSAlutely poor banking services. Every time I or people whom I know use ABSA banking services we are motivated to stop using ABSA. With the exception of a handful of people I have mostly experienced promises with no delivery. This however is too long a story for me to express at this juncture.
However here is my latest challenge. I want to purchase electricity. The only poor and inadequate service is cell phone banking. Once again it needs me to register, a process which I have followed before. If I should be lucky enough to get registered again I will be further frustrated by the fact that I will only be allowed to buy R300.00 worth of electricity in one transaction and not the R500.00 I would want to buy.
At this point in time my only motivation for staying with ABSA is that my company banks with ABSA and it is possible for my salary to be immediately available after the EFT. With exorbitant banking costs nowadays I do not want to pay the fee for having my funds immediately available in an alternative bank account.
Hot off the press - one of my colleagues went to the bank with a cheque made out in his name and correctly signed by the legal signatory. The date was omitted. A
