Discovery Card advertise that you will be able to receive preferential booking of concert tickets through them if you have a discovery card.
So when Bruce Springsteen concert tickets were advertised as going on sale at 9am on the 1 Nov, I made sure that I used my discovery card to book so as to receive the 'express queue' option.
As it happened, Discovery had a problem with their booking service and no bookings could be made - forcing me to use an alternative booking through computicket (or otherwise risk not getting a ticket at all in the event they sold out).
I subsequently contacted discovery to request they honor the benefit they indicated I could receive had I been able to book through them, by amending my booking to include 'express queue'. I was told that this was not possible and if i wanted express queue i would need to buy tickets once their online booking was working - which indicates that they don't understand the concept of limited tickets.
Thanks for nothing discovery. I believe this qualifies as advertising to some degree.
