8 weeks ago my car, financed by MFC (NEDBANK) was written off in an accident. The insurers settled the HP with MFC directly on the 19th of September with a shortfall of - R1200. For this I had top up insurance with REGENT, which was on record with MFC. Last week I found that there was still a settlement of -R3500 outstanding on this account HUH??? I was unable to get through to anyone at MFC who was willing or able to resolve this error. I was sent from pillar to post for hours, being cut off numerous times, having to explain my problem to various persons over and over again, holding on for up to 20 minutes at a time listening to the same silly tune being played over and over again, having to repeat my personal details (for security purposes) to various persons over and over and over again without any joy!!! Eventually after two days of frustration I was given some direct numbers. I managed to get through to Lidia Gouws who after listening to my problem once more said that she will investigate and resolve. Yesterday 31 October I found that MFC have decided to reinstate the debit order of R5330 and deducted the amount from my account HUH???!!!
