FNB smart device payments

I have never had an issue with FNB or their service before today, being a client of 8 years. I don't check statements every day, month... it's sometimes checked only when I need to. On their records, they have my salary date which is paid on the 27th, as all of my payment arrangements use it as a deadline aside for this one instance. I've taken out a contract for a MacBook air on 21st November 2012. At that time there was no Terms and conditions on what date the payment date for these devices are made. Months went by and I thought it to be very unusual as to why I'm not receiving any payment notifications for this account, no failed nor successful. The device insurance coupled with the device I have comes off on the 30th of every month.

All of a sudden I have lawyers breathing down my neck due to unpaid account. I pleaded to deal with FNB in this regard and they said no. No reason, no we'll try and assist where we can... just a plain... deal with the lawyers. This has now tarnished my records for further finance and so forth. When I checked my 3 free online statements and realised that the account is unpaid. I would like this corrected without having to deal with lawyers.
