A lady drove into the back of my car while I was waiting at a red robot. She bumped me with such force that my sunglasses flew from my face. In my opinion she did not brake at all. Her front bumper was stuck to my towbar, her car was undrivable and had to be towed in. My car had damage to the towbar, rear bumper and tailgate door. My car was drivable thanks to the towbar.
I contacted my insurance, who was immediately prepared to assist, but rightfully the quilty party's insurance should repair my vehicle.
They sent the paperwork to their attorneys acting for them. My car is fully imported (BMW 3 Touring) and still on BMW motorplan, thus I requested that genuine BMW parts be used for repairs. They refused and was only prepared to use pirate parts. I also requested a car while my car is being repaired as this is my sole means of transport. This was also refused. They also stated that if there is an access amount due, I will be responsible to pay it.
I was the innocent party in this mess, but was treated as if they are doing me a favour. As far as I am concerned this was really bad service with no regard for the innocent party's inconvenience... caused by their client!
