Missing money

I purchased from a vendor, got instant sms notification from my bank but "vendor machine" timed out and didnt reflect on vendors account. Vendor reversed transaction but it never reversed to my account/bank. FNB call center refuses to help saying its the vendors problem, vendor refuses help as money is not in their acc. I have bank statement proving money is deducted, have reversal slip yet FNB refuses to entertain my claim. If the my money and 1000 others every month who gets the interest while our money is lying in a suspence account somewhere. Can only imagine the millions written off by consumers because they cant be bothered to persue the matter. FNB you have 48hrs to sort it out before I start legal proceeding against you and the vendo
