Negligent in handling my Investment Account

I last year took out a contract save (investment account) initially for R500.00 and it was subsequently increased to R1000. according to my knowledge i was under the impression that the contract will mature at the end of October to be precise 29/10/2013. and i even went to Bluff branch on the 16 October 2013 to confirm the date of maturity and what amount did i have to date. it was confirmed that the date of maturity is the 29/10/13 and the amount was about R9000 and i was a bit shocked because it was suppose to be more and she the consultant pulled out the statemnet and it indicated that the debit did not go through for the month of September and she informed me that she will investigate it could be a system error. it latter transpired that the contrct lapsed on the 22nd of September. and i no one knew even the consultant how could this have happened. and to date i have been awaiting for proper feed back to be given to me. because i have been place in a position i should have not been put in. i think to a certain extent standard bank have committed a breach of contract and to date i am awaiting to be given feedback as to what went wrong and they were to a certain extent negligent.
