I took out a investment policy in 2003.01 scheme code 6006983 premium amount R120.93, I was told that it was an investment that will mature after 10 years, I was told my returns will be r30k at maturity. I got a call from Metropolitan in 2011 and I was speaking to 2 white ladies, then I asked if I could speak to somebody that speaks my language I then spoke to Lesego who confirmed that my investment will be maturing in 2013 and the proceeds will be paid into my bank account. This year in March I got a sum of r362.79 into my bank account. Upon my inquiry I was told that it was a funeral cover that has lapsed and there won't be any benefits if something is to happen to me. I then went to Metropolitan offices in Pretoria I was sent from pillar to post and I was told that I was misinformed at the inception of my policy and as an elderly black widow I feel I was ripped off. What I would like to get is my money back plus interest please as I was advised at the branch when I took out the plan.
