I had an accident with a scooter who overtook me around a bend on a solid line, while I wanted to turn right and rode right into me. This happened while traffic was at a standstill 7:30 in the morning in a residential area in front of a school.
Outsurance says I am 75% in the wrong since I must look before I turn right. The fact that she came around a bend from behind and overtook on the solid line only makes her 25% guilty. Therefore the scooter owners parents don't have to pay for my claim.
When asking Outsurance if they encourage scooter drivers to overtake on a blind spot in a residential area in front of a school on a barrier line... they said I must look before I turn right. Even though it can take her 2 seconds to come around a bend.
Since their child goes to Trinity, I bet you that they insure for more with Outsurance (also Outsurance client) and therefore Outsurance protects them rather than me. Outsurance is very quick in making promises about out bonuses, but is useless when you actually need to claim. They'll think of any excuse not to cover me.
Needless to say, I will be cancelling in the near future.
