Last week I reversed into my gate as it was closing. The gate flew off the track with impact. The Centurion D5 motor also broke off its mounting through impact and all the connecting cables and wires were severed. The gate track was also damaged. I called Standard Bank Insurance to query what was happening and they responded by saying that the report by the assessor say that the damage was not done by impact, whatever that means. They also have not paid me for the previous geyser claim I made. It seems to me that SIL is not doing their job properly. The people who inspected the damage did so when I was not there and hence made up their own minds. As this incidence happened in the morning in full view of those passing by.
