Laziness and not wanting to investigate properly

In February 2013 I received an email from HBManagement that i owe Pretor an amount of R3750.00 for a gate motor which was replaced at my residence. When i asked about it, i was given an invoice saying that " 06/01/2013 the gate motor was replaced due to the fact that house nuber 43 had a visitor who hit the gate and the gate went of the rail and had to be put back. The gate started to have problems on 06/01/2013 (2 days later) and someone was called in. I have requested for proof that my visitor hit the gate and it went off the rail, and to find out why was i not advised when this person smashed/ when the gate was fixed and i was just told a month later that i needed to pay. I requested for records to be pulled of how many times the gate has been fixed because the gate at Terrace view is damaged all the time and needs fixing. What proof was there that the 'damage' caused on 04/01/2013 is there reason why the gate started being faulty on 06/01/2013. Til now, all i get is letters of demand and calls for payments, whilst no proof has been given. i have advised that the video should be checked, the car bmper that "hit" this gate to be checked. but i get nothing but no resolution.
