First National Bank
"how can we help you" - what does this mean..??

I moved my personal and business accounts over to FNB 18 months ago as I really felt this was the bank for me. I applied for an access bond, 1/3 of the value of the "new home" I have purchased, with 2/3's being my cash contribution, I also have the transfer fee. It has taken over 6 weeks to try and get an answer from FNB Home Loans. All I have received to date (11.10.2013) is, "your home loan has been decline". I am still waiting for a report of some sort or at very least an explanation as to why this decision was taken and on what bases. The person responsible for my application has not bothered returning my calls or messages or sms's sent. I have just sold my current bond free home which will form part of my cash contribution and will soon find myself, wife and 4 children homeless due to this unbelievable stuff up I now find myself in. I own a construction company (since 2001) with Government contracts, additional Government contracts pending. I am grappling with the fact that I have been treated like a second class citizen. Our relationship is completely one sided with me doing all the work while FNB enjoys monthly revenue derived from my transactions. It's time to reciprocate.
