The call centre agents persuaded me to opt for the so called "No Excess" option. When time for claiming came, I was informed the quote was lower than the threshold amount, and I had to pay. This I can still live with, except this is very clever marketing from these insurers side, they catch you out so beware. Plus the whole process of claiming, and getting the third party/legal stuff done is a complete nightmare and stuff-up.
After cancelling my policy, I was told that although I want it done with immediate effect, I cannot, as there is a 30 day waiting period!! Absurd. Whats more is that they will not refund my monthly premium, even at a pro-rata rate, even though I am now paying for a service which they no longer deliver to me? Unacceptable!!
Even OUTSURANCE refunded me on a Pro Rata rate when transferring from them to Virseker.
So, in short, I have to admit, Virseker IS worse (much more, in fact) than Outsurance.
