Being made to run around

I recently made an application with the bank and well everything went well, I submitted all the documents that were required and was told that everything is in order and is approved and was even given the credit card. I received nothing on Friday so the following day I called to verify if everything is still in order and was assured that everything was in order and that the applications normally take about 48 hours. Fine I decided I will wait till Monday and still by then the was nothing from the bank. I then called the call centre to find out what's going on and was told that everything was approved and that they just had a problem confirming employment and even gave them the HR number again. I then received a call from the agent at the branch to tell me that I need to come into the branch again as they need to get my fingerprints as they were not clear. I took time off work to go to the branch again and once again I was assured that now everything is in order and that by the end of yesterday everything will be sorted and that the funds will be made available but to my surprise that was not the case. Now the call centre says that the application is rejected due to system error.
