I recently lodged a claim for my windscreen to be replaced at MiWay. My first complaint is that the consultant (a lady named Jade) was very obnoxious and kept on interrupting me while I was trying to explain what happened. I felt like I was being treated like a naughty child.
About a year ago a small stone shot up whilst I was driving from the vehicle in front of me. The chip was minute and I didn't even consider to claim. A couple of months later it started to form a crack. I went to Glasfit to stop the crack spreading and they informed me they don't do that any more and I have to replace it. I could not go through the whole procedure at the time and waited until now when I had a chance to lodge a claim. They asked me if I read my Policy documents because it states you have to notify them within 30 days of the incident. I did read it, but when I joined more than 2 years ago. Who notifies them of a tiny chip the size of 2mm. How was I to know the minute chip would develop into a crack!
My claim was rejected. This is the first time I tried to claim insurance. I referred 2 people to MiWay whom are now clients of them. I will never refer anyone again.
