I went to the Caltex garage in Lenasia in Gemsbok Street (Opposite the railway lines) to fill petrol. The petrol attendant failed to inform me that the speed points are out of order before filling petrol. After he filled petrol I handed him the card. The transactions was obviously declined a few times being offline (he made it out that there was something wrong with my account by telling me the card is declined). I didnt have any cash on me as I was paying with a petrol card. I had to sit at the garage for 45MIN as the attendant kept on trying in vain to process transaction. I than gave the manager (Maya & Ridwaan) all my car and contact details and advised them that as i stay around the corner that i will come back later to make payment.
I feel that the attendant should've informed me before hand about being off line before hand. I approached him and the rest of the staff about the matter (this is after I realised that the speed point was off line and there is nothing wrong with my account). The manager was EXTREMELY unhelpful, inconsiderate and arrogant. The manager alsosaid to the petrol also said to the petrol guy that he must go lodge a case with the police.
