On the 30th of August my neighbour decided we need a new gate to our property by driving her Landover through the wall. All in all we had to replace 12 meters of boundary wall that was either damaged or nocked down. On contacting Absa who do my building insurance we where advised that they had some sort of system problem and could not open my claim at that time. Two days later after losing my cool over the situation, I was advised too use my own contractor to fix the damage. The assessor came to inspect the damage. We have now submitted the invoices for payment too Absa only to be told that they will only cover about 50 % of the invoice in relation too the rates that they use too calculate the cost. On top of that we are told that there contractors can not be used to fix the electric fence due to the new law involved.
