Personal Loan Settlement

I applied for a personal loan amounted of R40 000 with absa bank in July13 which was approved, the 1st commencement date for debit order was 25 .09.13. on the 26th .07.13 I contacted absa cancellations department on 0860 100 372 & action line 0800 414141 (spoke to Zukiswa, Lee Anne & Gledwyn) to request a settlement because didn't need the loan anymore, which I was informed that the settle is R40k as per loan agreement & R1332.17 initi fee. I informed them that I would allow the 1st debit order to go through on 25.08.13 which was the initiation amount to ensure that the balance is then only the R40K then I allowed the 2nd debit to go of in Sept as well. On 26.09.13
I contacted the call center again on 0861222272 (spoke to Zucky Soebremany (settl dept) & Maria (payments dpt) and requested another settl amount and I was given an amnt of R40 423.00 which I didn't agree / understand due 2 what I explained to them is the principle debt (R40K) and the contract duration debt (R70 397.31) doesn't correspond. I asked absa if the R40K initi fee less 2 debit of R2207.12 then the balance should be /- R38700.32 & why is the settlement still @ R40423 .A Hain
