HOW CAN WE NOT HELP YOU

I phoned the Cape Gate branch to open an acc for my 10 month old baby. They said I'll have to phone the Investment call centre. Phoned them. Explained what I want, and while busy with the transacction the person says: Sorry she cant help. Because I want the acc in my baby's name but on my profile, I must go into the bank.??? I told her I was adviced to ph the call centre. She couldnt help me, needless to say. Went into the Brackenbell branch today (in lunchtime), asked to open an account (32 days), nope, they cant help!! I must have proof of address with me??? for what, im asking?? All my accounts are with FNB, I only want to open a little savings acc for my little girl. She's living with me, FNB has got all my details - why do they still need proof of address when the account will be on my profile?? Cant these people just give you the right info when you phone the first time? Im so annoyed, I will go through all that trouble just to move to another bank, even for something as small as this.. Really. Its the 21st century. Please train your staff to give the correct info FIRST TIME AROUND.
