On Tuesday, 31 October, there was a R8445 deducted from my fnb account. I called in immediately and got through to Teboho at Premier banking, who said that he didn't know where the debit order came from and gave me a number to call that I could only get through to the next day. When I called in the next day, the lady that I spoke to just said to me, "Well, you've failed to make a payment arrangement on your student loan, so that's why we decided to debit! " And she was very rude when she said this. I fail to understand why they say I have failed to make an arrangement on my student loan, considering they appointed two lawfirms who both gave me two diffErent incorrect amounts to pay and I have told them numerous times that I was willing to make an arrangement as long as they confirmed the correct amounts. In the meantime I continued to make manual payments into the student loan account as and when I had money available. FNB have taken advantage that my study loan is at the same bank as my cheque account and decided that they will just go into my account and do as they please whenever it suits them.
