I applied for car insurance in August 2013 and a lady by the name of Nonhlanhla Sikhosana contacted me back with a quote. She quoted me completely incorrect figures and a completely incorrect policy which I dont even qualify for as the car I wanted to insure was more than 15 years old and apparently Standard Bank insurance does not insure cars older than 15 years. the premium quoted to me was R 431.45. Then a few weeks later I contacted the call centre again to confirm a few details, I spoke to Shelton Mace, who then confirmed that I cannot firstly, take the insurance out as the car is not in my name, the car is too old for comprehensive insurance and that I now qualify for a reduced premium but only for fire, and third party. the premium quoted was R 187.90. yesterday a premium to the amount R484.00 goes off because I skipped a premium for last month (I didnt even technically have a policy) and now I am liable for the full amount and I will pay a reduced premium next month, I dont believe that this policy is valid as I havent even done the inspection yet, by PG glass. This policy isnt even valid because the "owner" did not even give permissison, please just refund my premium!
