New Car Insurance Client - Poor Service

On 18 July I decided to leave my current vehicle insurance provider and change to Budget.

Firstly, I was quoted R639 on an online quote, which was my deciding factor to go with Budget and not one of the million other promising Insurance providers.
However, after receiving the call to sign me up and listening to all of the terms and conditions, as well as answering a long list of questions, I was quoted a premium in excess of R787.
Apparently the premium that I was quoted was subject to an R8 500 excess.
Need I even continue regarding the ethical breach by quoting winning premiums based on ridiculous and undisclosed underlying variables?
I did sign up for hail damage and retail value, but these items do not come to more than R50 cumulatively.
Poor show, Budget.

Secondly and more importantly, the argumentative rep who assisted me, recorded the incorrect details regarding my car - the wrong registration number of all things.
I called back and requested a correction. I am still waiting for a redrafted policy as well as information regarding which inspection centre I should use.

Budget - should I cancel my policy and move to a competitor? I can and will.
