I was quoted by Outsurance for vehicle insurance with a premium R531.60 and an excess of R3 000. Additionally I was told that my admin fee of R275 would be waived. When I received my policy documents I noticed the excess was set at R4 800. I immediately (23/09/2013) queried my policy document and was handed over to a lady by the name of Sadhana. Sadhana said that they would have to listen to the recording but would get back to me. She stated that in the mean time my premium of would be R501.57 with an excess of R4 800.
Besides a slightly reduced premium, part of the reason for changing my insurance company was that my excess would stay at /-R3 000. When my first debit order went off on the 01/10/2013 and I was charged the admin which I was told would be waived. To date I have not heard anything back from Sadhana and my query around my excess has not been resolved.
