Good morning
When i received my statement from Old Mutual, i decided to surrender a policy for payout.
Your call centre advised me that it is easier/quicker to go to a branch as it will pay out within 5-7 days.
per instruction, went to the Wynberg branch and submitted all the necessary documnets. This was on the 21st Sept.
The consultant who assisted me said it would payout in about 7 days time.
I called in the the call centre this morning to follow up on the status of this as i have had numerous complaints about Old Mutual not paying out policies on time.
The consultant subsequently told me that on the system he can see that the head office has given authorisation to Wynberg, but that Wynberg branch has not actioned anything.
There is no contact number available for me to contact them, and I've seen more complaits of people on Hello. Peter about the poor service of this particular branch.
Today is 6 working days after surrendering the policy, and your consultant confirmed that nothing has been actioned as yet. I really dont expect this from a company of your stature
