UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE I RECEIVED AT ABSA

On saturday at 09h40am (28/9/13) I was at Absa bank (The Glen mall) to have my credit card cancelled and i was assisted by a Gentlemen at Enquiries desk no:1 who told me that i should wait for 5 working days for Retentions consultant to contact me... MY QUESTION IS... WHY SHOULD ABSA SEND MY DETAILS FOR RETENTION WHEN I NEED MY ACCOUNT TO BE CANCELLED, WHY IS IT SUCH A LONG PROCESS TO HAVE MY CREDIT CARD CANCELLED WHEN IT ONLY TOOK 24 HOURS TO APPROVE.
I WAS SO NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE I RECEIVED.. I NEEDED MY ACCOUNT TO BE CANCELLED IMMEDIATELY, I DON'T NEED TO BE RETAINED..I WILL BE CANCELLING MY ABSA SAVING ACCOUNT SOON BECAUSE I DON'T DESERVE SUCH SERVICE.
