Closing acoount for no reason

I received a letter from Absa stating I have to fica my account before the 21ste January 2013 otherwise they are going to close my account. I went into Absa bank Hercules on Saturday the 19 January 2013 at 10:00. Waiting for almost 2hours in a queue I was finally helped. After putting fuel in my car on Saturday the 26th January 2013 and wanted to withdraw money for the petrol, I received a slip saying I must phone my bank there is a problem with my account. I phoned the number and the operator told me unfortunately there is nothing he can do I have to phone the bank Absa Hercules to find out why they closed my account after I gave them all the documents. Obviously the bank was already closed and I am very unhappy and very mad!!! I received no sms, call or e-mail saying that they are going to close my account due to no documents received, if they advised me maybe this could be avoided.
