Today I went out of my way to get to FNB on time. I had to get permission from my boss to leave early so I can reach FNB before closing time. According to their advertising and according to information posted on their website business day ends at 15h30. I got there at 15h25. I want to close my account. I was referred to branch manager by the name Nomsa. Despite all the trouble I went into, she told me I was too late!
Since when is it right to turn away a customer who arrived on time because your tellers are closed?!!!
I was shocked and expressed my disappointment to this lady and even explained to her that I am unable to come on a different day. She bluntly refuse to do anything about the fact that I needed to have this account closed since I am not using it and losing money on unnecessary bank charges. She told me I must come on a different day because they can't go out their way for me! Is it not my right to close a bank account at FNB?
I am extremely upset over this lack of professionalism and discourtesy.
