I was retrenched, and as a result I had to claim for Unemployment, ABSA Credit Card Division (Legal) contacted me, advising me that the call was recorded - I informed them that I had been retrenched, and that I was waiting for my UIF to go into my account, the woman advised me that she would cancel the debit order and that I would need to go into the bank and pay the outstanding amount - regardless of ABSA informing me of this, my account was debited on the 24th Aug, naturally since the money was not in, I had to pay the extra bank charges. Now this month they have done the same thing? I would like the bank charges reversed
