To my immediate dismay, i realized that Absa Bank is not only the most exspensive bank to bank with but also quite lousy with regards to customer service. I have been banking with ABSA for almost 10 good years and at the age of 27 have managed in this struggling economy to pay off 2 vehicles through their car finance program and inbetween bank considerable amounts of cash leading me to afford a gold credit/debit facility to which i pay dearly every month in excess of R350 per month. Please note never have the benfits of this premium been explaned to me nor the consequences of miss-payment!!
To my shock and horror i realised after being retrenched and managing to find alterior work for every returned un-paid debit they charge over and above their sky-rocketed premuims R133 per return???
I had to pay bank charges of over R1000 per month for the last 2 months, without so much as a phonecall from ABSA .
When i decided to visit the Waterfront branch the consultant said out loud i have a bad credit rating and their is nothing i can do to reverse the bank charges?
The reason it is returned in the first place is because i dont have money in my account so why must i pay extra?
