I am insured with Alexander-Forbes -- an all-encompassing policy. The basic issue is that I requested a reduction in my policy mid-July. They billed me July, August, September for items I repeatedly (many times) asked not to be insured for. My policy should be amended as asked, and I should be refunded. I have taken this route as Alexander-Forbes gives the impression of some disintegration.
Here are some of the details. 17 July 2013: I asked that my insurance schedule be reduced -- among other things because I was breaking up my household. I confirmed the conversation in writing. I requested confirmation from Alexander-Forbes, and this was promised. 22 July: No response, so I re-sent the original request. 24 July: Vivienne Joseph wrote that Mpho had revised the schedule, and it would be sent to me. 12 August: I received the revised schedule, but it had not been revised as requested. I was paying far too much. I re-sent my original request. 22 August, Tamara Leo sent me the schedule of Nizam Salleh. I pointed out that I was not Nizam Salleh. And so on.
