Not covering benefits with proof of documentation

In March 2012 I changed my policy from basic comprehensive to balance hospital cover. I found out I was pregnant in July 2013 and phone Essential med to enquire on the procedures and how much is covered for hospital. It was then we discovered that my policy had not been updated. I sent through documents to Yolande Nortjie as requested, I battled to get feedback from her. I spoke to Elana Fourie who requested all documentation again. Eventually I received confirmation from Yolande that it was updated and I would be covered I also received a signed letter from Marilize Ackerman stating I would receive a refund. In September 2013 I enquired again as the Debit order went off incorrect and was told by Illone de Wet that it had not been changed, and requested documentation again. Once again I battled to get feedback and phoned Marilize Ackerman who stated I would not be covered!
I am appalled and shocked at how I have been treated! this is not how you conduct business.
