My husbands account was in arrears as we were in a bit of a financial pickle, he has since paid the full amount on his card which was a mere R1500 PLUS he paid extra R700 to get his credit up again and to get a bit of interest should we be unable to pay again. On trying to use the card it was declined.
He called in this morning and they refuse firstly to listen to him let alone help him. Now they say that he is a credit risk and want to close the account which is fair BUT they refuse to give him his extra money back!!
He has to drive to one bank for a statement and then into another (Virgin) to give it in and then maybe in a month pay him back??? ITS HIS MONEY!! and that is plain!!!
Worst service and bad attitude the call centre agent wouldn't even let him speak, kept shutting him down and when asked to speak to a manager they kept him on the phone for over 10 minutes (hoping he will put the phone down I guess) ITS PATHETIC that they are so quick to take our money but wont pay it back when its due!! SHOCKING
