My poor mother and father just had the horrendous experience of trying to sort out a frozen FNB account due to Fica. My mother does not have acc & therefore my father was to sign that she stays with him, they requested my parents take the lease agreement. When taking the lease agreement a letter from the agency itself confirming my mother resides at the premises, refused to accept as lease was copy. Agency confirmed they dont give originals to tenants, they then sent my dad to get a municipal acc, they then told him it was not acceptable as it was in the name of the body corporate&my dad had to have it transferred into his name which the agency said is not practise with them. They then sent my father all the way back to the rental agents to have agreement resigned with 2 witness signatures, his signature and a stamp as just his sign& agency was not a legal doc, and they said its the last time they accepting the lease like that . this is acc with FNB for over 10yrs - refer you to your own link on the website where it states what is acceptable for FICA, explain then how this happens and a apology owed for this service.
