On 29th Jul 2013 1st for Women referred my claim to Windscreen Direct for fitment. Windscreen Direct gave me a 5 week lead time on the fitment (2 Sept). 3 weeks later I contacted them to find out if all was in order. They confirmed the lead time once again to be 2nd Sept. On 2nd of Sept I once again contacted them, this is when Jason told me they have "shipment problems" and they now expect the window in another 3 weeks time. At this point in time Marylize from 1st for Women offered me a courtesy car, pending the outcome of my claim. Now almost 2 weeks later, just over a week before the 2nd lead time is due, Jason from Windscreen Direct calls to say they cannot get me the window. No valid reason has been provided for this. 1st for Women has now concluded to pay me the cash and let me fend for myself. On top of that they are taking the courtesy car since they are closing the case. I have contacted the dealer where I bought my car, they've informed me that there shouldn't be a problem getting the window, except it will take another 4 to 5 weeks to get it. I am utterly disgusted by the way the claim was handled particularly by Windscreen Direct and will cancel my insurance with FFW.
