I submitted a claim on my Hospital Plan which is through Standard Bank, on the 09/07/2013. I received no communication from AIG. On the 05/08/2013, I called their call centre to follow up. I was advised that they had received my claim form. But they could not open the hospital bill. I resent it the same day. Two weeks later, I called again. I was advised that the hospital bill was received and the claim is now being processed. More time passed & still no communication. I called again on the 30/08/2013. I was then told the hospital bill was still not received. I stated then when I had called previously, I was told that it was received. The agent I was speaking to advised me that it was strange as there was no comments on my claim that any agent had spoken with me. I resent the document. I called again today, 12/09/2013, spoke to Mel. He said that the Hospital bill was received but it takes 14 working days to be processed. He then gave me a list of docs that need to be sent. These were documents that were never asked for previously. Out of frustration, I cut the call. I am tired of being given the run.
